The easiest method of installing a local MusicBrainz Server may be to download the pre-configured virtual machine, if there is a current image available. Note: The virtual machine takes several hours ("overnight") to build search indexes, and the process must be started manually within the VM.

In case you only need a replicated database, you should consider using mbslave.
