<title>Installation of Util-linux</title>
<para>Util-linux doesn't use the freshly installed headers and libraries from
the /tools directory. This is fixed by altering the configure script:</para>

sed "s@/usr/include@/tools/include@g" configure.backup &gt; configure</userinput></screen>
<para>Prepare Util-linux for compilation:</para>
<screen><userinput>./configure</userinput></screen>
<para>Compile some support routines:</para>
<screen><userinput>make -C lib</userinput></screen>
<para>And, since you'll need only a couple of the utilities contained in this
package, build just those:</para>
<screen><userinput>make -C mount mount umount
make -C text-utils more
make -C sys-utils arch</userinput></screen>
<para>Now copy these programs to the temporary tools directory:</para>
<screen><userinput>cp mount/{,u}mount text-utils/more sys-utils/arch /tools/bin</userinput></screen>
