Installed my DS18B20 sensor, showed up as supposed to and I get a reading, except it reads the temperature fine but spikes to 85C every now and then, I have not been able to find the issue after checking voltages, connections, resistor and checking if the sensor was an authentic one.
I've been doing a lot of searching everywhere, trying different ways of wiring.
I've read that with these readings the interval time is too short which is translating to a 85C readout.

I hope someone is able to help me out.

Q:

  1. Do you have a pull-up resistor with it? 4.7k ohm?
  2. Is the resistor close to your GPIO/input pins?
  3. Is the sensor a genuine one or a clone? (have you tried another sensor)
